I was playing battlefield 2 fine then after i installed the newest Patch 1.41. It stopped working. After i click the Battlefield 2 icon, the screen would just turn black a couple of secs and exit battlefield. I tried reinstalling the game and the patch but still doesn't work. Tried overclocking and no overclocking.

My specs are:

Athlon XP 2500+ @ 1.8ghz and overclocked to 2ghz.
ASUS 6600GT
Corsair Value Ram DDR400 1GB

I seriously doubt drivers or hardware got to do any of this, i got the newest ones for 6600GT and i was playing it fine until i patched it.

try doing a clean install and only using the 1.4 patch

reinstalled worked, but after 1.4 patch didnt work, anything else?

thats puzzling. what expansion packs do you have? don't forget you have to install the patch again after you've finished adding any expansion packs.

I got both of em but to be more clear, i uninstalled BF2, installed it again works then install patch, does not work. Never touched the expansions yet.

maybe the patch is crappy download the 1.41 patch again form a different source
