Average Resolution for Widescreen Gaming?

I have a 6m's Acer 20.1in Widescreen LCD.... And I've been running most of my games on 1680x1050,, but get horid FPS.... So i tend to deal with it cuz I hate lower resolutions? Just wondering what most of you use for your res..

I think the average is 1440 x 900 to 1680 x 1050. As those are the most common resolutions I see. I use a 22" at 1680 x 1050. Well the reason you're getting horrid FPS, is because of your graphic card. It's pretty weak for gaming on 1680 x 1050.

I just went from a 20" at 1680x1050 to a 24" at 1920x1200 and i love it. My 8800 gts pushes the frames just fine, although this bugger does run really hot.

i say get 1 of these, then another later for dual monitors n ur good to go. Any bigger monitor i think is just ridiculous for gaming:
