Default Anyone using Daemon-tools with BF2?

I've reformatted and am in process of putting everything back on my rig. I decided to give Windows a 20gig partition, and am putting everything else on the other 50-something.

I was thinking of ripping one of my disks for BF2 and mounting it as an image so I wouldn't have it in my drive (keeping the drive spinning).

Has anyone else done this? How well did it work?

I know it doesn't work with GTR, not sure about other games. Does it use Starforce?

i've used Daemon Tools with my copy of BF2. i think i heard a friend mention in passing that they'd put some emulation protection on the later versions though.

I think it worked for me before I screwed up Daemon tools. It was a while ago, so I don't quite remember. It doesn't work on Alcohol's virtual drive.

Well, if I could figure out how to make the proper image I could give it a try.

I used ALcohol120% to make an image, but it was the wrong format.

Since I really don't know a whole lot about it, I guess I'm going to have to rely on Google. But, right now, I gotta go to work.
