I really want to get UT3... and yeah, i'm glad i'm not the only one feeling that WoW itch. Lich King is looking pretty promising...

well... I got UT3, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I absolutely, positively, can not stand the game.

but on the AoC note. I was reading some interviews between some Funcom reps and guys at e3, and Funcom is working on fixing up the graphics engine so it doesn't take so much to run. They've said we can be expecting epic battles with upwards of 100 players.

Lich King looks pretty good, but it's appeal is starting to wash out a little in my opinion compared to what AoC is going to turn into. Though, of course, we can only hope for the best.

never had a problem running the game. engine worked fine. it was all the bugs that screwed it up. as well as completely broken game elements, or elements not even in the game. i guess lack of areas and running out of stuff to do in a couple weeks sucked too :/
i might try back in a year or two if d3 bombs

all my friends have stopped playing... seems the game just wasn't ready to be released. It sucks cuz it was a fun game too !

If I still had mASSIVE amounts of time to waste on online gaming, I would go back to EQ2

Age of Conan in its current form is a game which is at best, medicore/good.

However - It has the foundations to form a fantastic game. Everything just needs to be rethought a little, and there just needs to be things to do.

If these things were improved, it'd be a 10/10 game.

- More items, some classes have an OK ammount of items. But the classes look pretty similar and the armor is rather..dull. Look at wow, wow has fantastic itemization. Especially at lower levels all players of the same type look the same, it's a little boring.

- The auction house (or whatever its called) needs to be better. there needs to be a bigger reason for players to use it. in it's current form it's crap, wereas i struggle to spend 30seconds at AoC's AH i never found it hard to spend upwards of 3 hours in WoW's AH.

- Better class balancing, now by this i do not at all mean they all have the same dps, HP, etc etc. But what i mean is each type has something it is particularly good at, but something there bad at to balance it out.

- Lower the amount of servers and put more people on more servers. Were the heck is everyone ? In wow if i went to a main city i would see, what, atleast 500 people ? and outside the city a few people every minute. But i wonder around aoc and sometimes i fail to see more than 10 people in the city's. Now this isnt due to lack of players, theres around 450,000 subscribed players. Thats enough to make things busier, if they cut down on the amount of servers. I'm sure some people may disagree with me.

- Change the resource gathering, it's boring and a pain in the *** and just stupid. I find level 80's wondering around resources that can be gathered at level 20 ? eh.. and it's boring, and oddly done, and rather annoying.

- Fix the quests, theres still a load of bugged up quests.

- Player fighting anywere, upon agreement. Like wow, so you can fight your friends if u want to see who's better.

- Less loading..ask people if they play AoC Because it looks really nice.. i dont think many do, cut down on the graphics allready and give us a seamless load free world (Or just make quicker loadtimes)

- Give me things to do ! There's not a whole lot to do in the game, even at lower levels. Wondering around killing things isnt fun like wow, there's load times and the worlds are largely sparse and boring. I want more instances, i want pubs to get drunk, mini games, alot more raids and accesible at all levels, maybe player houses (like the guild city's, for individual players) And way more ways to make money, and then give me shops and loads of items and let me blow my cash.

this game had me psycked but once i herd all thje negative i didnt purchase it, alltho im beta testing warhammer online, it starts on the 7th so im prety psycked to play something that will compete with wow finaly.

Most of my MMO friends have. I played Age of Conan for about 1 month. I got to lvl 55 before I quit. There ended up being too much grind, and the guild I was in had a lot of enemies (I posted a vid of one of our group PvP raids here before) so lvling took quite a bit of time. I ended up taking a break from AoC for more content to come out. Slowly I seen a lot of changes to the game including PvP that I just didn't like. So I'm pretty much done with this game.

I am going to stay MMO-free until the KotOR MMO comes out sometime next year. More TF2 and CoD4 for me (as well as Empire: Total War once it comes out).
