Possibly. it all depends on the website offering.
I just compiled what the websites listed. They may give the belt as a bonus, but they didn't advertise it. Some of the places might also do the 3day head start without advertising it as well.

I know amazon.ca were cheap and aren't doing any bonuses or the head start. I shoulda waited to pre-order mine ;p had it ordered several months ago ; ; they've also ignored any and all e-mails asking any questions about AoC so I'm assuming its true they arent.

Wow, I just watched a preview for this game and it's ground breaking!
It's an mmorpg, I see. Do you purchase the CD/s, like in WoW? Or download? Is beta currently going on? Is there a monthly subscription required?

I'm too lazy to research. lol

An open beta is starting soon from Fileplanet, where if your a subscriber you can get into the open beta. The game can be purchased via CD's or downloaded if you preorder it, you can download and play 3 days before everyone else depending on where you pre order form.

Yes there's a monthly fee. It hasn't been anounced yet but if I had to guess I'd say 12USD/month or close. gamespot and such had closed beta for a while. i didn't know about open beta. i should see if i can get in XD i wasn't lucky enough to make it into closed beta ; ;

The 5 dollar early start fee also includes 10 extra days on your account. If i recall correctly its going to be 14.99 just like warcraft.

Ah didn't see the basic subscription notice they made last week. They just put the whole payscale out today. You're right.
Charge 6 months at a time and its 12.99. 2$ a month adds up over a few years ^^ I'll just do it that way.

edit~ oh just got a fileplanet subscription to get AoC open beta key. Last day for key distribution but i got one heh guess i have a little luck.

edit2~ I forgot how slow fileplanet was. Fluctuating up and down like a yoyo between 25-80kb/s for 12.9 gigs lol. 80 hours -.- Just feels lame since I could download this in a few hours instead of a few days if it was hosted on megaupload or rapidshare, which are pretty much the same price >.> ah well cant be picky, coulda started downloading a few days earier if I had of been paying attention to the news lol.

edit3~ seems its speeding up the later it gets, people must be shutting off their PC's for the night, or finishing the download. With any luck it'll finish in 24 hours ; ; lol. guess I'll have to start on the 3rd if sis makes me go out for my bday on friday ><

edit4~ around 4am EST is a good time to be downloading. Seems to have stabalized 400-700, should be done by morning. Fileplanet servers really cant handle load. Ah well, pretty pumped to wake up. wonder what time it starts.

I know the open beta caps at lv 13 i think the article said, but does anyone know if the character data is saved through the beta? or is the slate wiped clean for a fresh start on launch day? I'll assume it's being wiped clean for simplicity server-side, but I have seen games save progress from open betas to release. of couse they weren't large scale games like AoC. I wanna what kind of damage this thing does to my PC. I cancelled the q9450 because the stock kept getting pushed back, sold out all over canada. ****** me off so I figured i'd just deal with heat problems for a while longer. i might have to invest in new temp gx2 till the 9900's if I my rig cant cut it.

I also downloaded the beta from Fileplanet last night and it was slow. I got up this morning and it was finished.
