| hello i spent ages downloading a video file and when i play it there is no video or sound - just a black screen. Do i need a special decoder or something? the video file name is T3DVDrip2of2.avi cheers Simon |

| Dont know if the Divx Player will install extra codecs or just decompresses through the player , but it'd be better to download just the codecs.And when installed , just open up your file with Windows Media Player and there you go. BTW , what is a video codec question doing in " General Gaming " ? .. oh well ![]() |

| Wizard Techie | Becareful too, DivX Pro will install Gator with out your knowledge or consent. You have to have a valid key to make it work without Gator too.
