| LEFT FOR DEAD the game was recommended to me by a close friend of mine. Trailer looks kinda cool, but if any of you have actually played the game, can you give me your feedback. (I'd appreciate it if only those who have actually played reply to this post. I really need an experienced perspective rather than just opinions. Thank you). |

| Re: LEFT FOR DEAD I have played it frequently and still do. I think it is a great game and provides hours of fun. And then even many more hours of fun once you find the right friends to play with.

| Re: LEFT FOR DEAD I thought it was good, not as good as some games but definitely enjoyable. Iuno, not much replay value for me though.

| Re: LEFT FOR DEAD Campaign mode is not so much replayable as versus mode. It's true the AI is always different. Well it is never the same two times in a row but usually there are only 4 different sequences. I say get it now and by the time left 4 dead 2 comes out you will be ready for it.

| Re: LEFT FOR DEAD L4D is a great game to play with your buddies at two in the morning with the light from your monitor being the only light in the room...vurry skerry
The replay-factor is very high if you don't get curious about how the game mechanics work. The reason why is because knowing about the game mechanics takes away from the "fear-factor" of the game. Since not knowing whats coming next is the very essence of fear it self, staying naive is probably the best bet for making the game fun for a prolonged period of time.
In the end, you should probably wait for L4D 2 to come out since it comes out in a month or two. (October?)

| Re: LEFT FOR DEAD Once you play the game enough though you learn whether you want to or not. I have played well over 150 hours of left4dead and after about 20 hours or less strategy catches a hold of you and learn where stuff is. especially after playing the same campaigns over and over.

| Re: LEFT FOR DEAD ^yeah, that's where it lost it's value for me. I mean, obviously it doesn't take 150 hours to learn the secrets of the game, and when you do imo it's kinda like 'meh'.
Still worth playing once or twice through though.

| Re: LEFT FOR DEAD Definitive answer: if you are the only person you know with it, it might not be that much fun. If a couple or more of your friends have it and play it, then you will have an outstanding game.
This applies to most games though, but more-so in this game in particular.
