ive been looking this up on the net for about half an hour. Apparently that bit with the guy barricading the door happens EVERY single time no matter what you do, which leads people to believe it is in fact scripted. However, it is also being said that valve never said that that particular scene wasnt scipted, just that most of their AI was non-scripted. But pretty much for the rest of the demo the AI 'seemed' to be non-scripted.

Im sure they would have liked people to believe that such a great shot of an enemy barricading a door was non-scripted, however whether or not they actually claimed this is another story. Im not too sure as there were no clear-cut articles about this. just thousands and thousands of forums...

Anyway im not even too sure it matters. its gonna be a great game with lots of parts involving non-scripted AI which will be very cool. They wouldnt be able to say that unless it was true cause people would find out WAY too easy after the release

I read the same thing... You sure it wasn't the 30th of 2003??? I made the same mistake. As far as I know - The only 2k4 date that I read is Sept. 1st.

HL-2 better be **** good (which i have no doubt about)

They closed the WON servers (HL/CS 1.5) so now you HAVE to play STEAM, which gets annoying sometimes. I'd much rather play 1.5 but ooooohhhhh noooooo aparently not enough people used the servers and/or they want to sorta monopolize on STEAM - make EVERYthing run on steam...

I hope STEAM doesnt turn into GameSpy.... or completely merge...

anyways, to get back on topic, I would love to play HL2 but not on my computer. hopefully when my bro gets his new card he'll get hl2 also...
maybe he should wait - they just might release it with one of the cards were looking at...

That source code being stolen is such ********. It was code that was useless, but more importantly it was just to try to get publicity for the game.

You people find a lot to complain about... jeez its just a game... it will be released when its done. Personally I would rather have to wait a couple of years if the game is going to be terrably buggy. Especially if it is a sequel to one of the best games out there.
