Default Good setup??

WEll we are getting this TV FUll HD panasonic
VIErA TH-P50G10A 50" (127cm) Full-HD Digital Plasma TV [TH-P50G10A] - Panasonic Australia
I have a ps3, we are going to use this tv for gaming and Watching movies and Tv is it a goood tv??
Also we need to get a surge protector would this be a good choice SURGE INTERCEPTOR 8-Way Board (M7810) - Dick Smith Electronics - Australia.

Yes the Panasonic Viera line are some of the best HD TV's available.

For surge protectors I would suggest looking into a CyberPower protection unit. They provide excellent protection and cover up to $250,000 in damages.

Yeh, Vieras are great. Got one myself for my PS3, it's brilliant.

Not sure about surge protectors, but i'm sure Baez is right.

I had a Viera Full HD set before I got my Pioneer Kuro and they are great. Definitely go for one. Best for the money without a doubt. You are very right in not being fooled by the likes of Sony with their oversharpened image and artificially saturated colours.

Oh and if you calibrate your Viera (or any TV for that matter), you will see a HUGE difference. Definitely invest a bit of $$ in calibrating it.

Viera is great I have a 32" in my room and a 42" downstairs.
