Default Zune compatible cd players

I know that ipods are visually compatible with some pioneer car cd players. Does anyone know of any zune compatible cd players? Ones that basically all I do is plug it into my cd player and I control all of the songs through it, and I dont have to do anything with the zune.

There is no software or anything like that with the Zune yet. The only cars that can control the Zune are the Ford, Mercury cars that are powered by Microsoft Sync. Other than that you will have to use the Zune.

Give it time. The Zune has been out for 2 years compared to teh 6-7 years iPod has been out. Already they have a whole line of cars from Ford, Lincoln and Mercury to be compatible with. That has got to be a upside. Even iPod didnt have that after just 2 years.

true. but the zune is following their lead. that why they are ahead at the same time. the ipod was revolutionary even creative had a player that was out first. so everything will be based off of the ipod first.

I went to got buy an alpine mp3 changer 4 years ago when the guy suggest that I buy an 30 ipod and buy and ipod converter. that cost me 425 when the mp3 changer (which hold 4.2 gigs of music) had a 400 price tag. I wow people for years with that. I now also have an eclipse player with a direct ipod hookup. it will take zune awhile to get in with the aftermarket people because of the ipod

I can see your point. But in all honesty. The Zune isnt copying the iPod. Sync is full voice control. Which is a lot different than the iPod controls in cars.

Most cars now-a-days have the Aux port on the front panel which the Zune can use as well as the iPod.

I jsut think that the Sync is a nice tool. If you have the right car to use it. I mean not only can you jsut say

"Play artist ___"

And it plays but you can hook it up via bluetooth to a phone and make a call teh same way. Very useful for people to PUT DOWN THE HANDSETS!!!

Sorry personal problem of mine. Hate to see drivers concentrating on their phones mroe than the road...

But you are right. The Zune will still take a while to get into the market as big as the iPod. But they at least are heading in the right direction.

Not from what i know of Sync. It doesnt have a HDD in the car. From what i know of Sync it connects the Zune to the radio wirelessly thru the WiFi built in the Zune. From there you can control it. That is my understanding of Sync and how it works with the Zune. I will call my buddy over at a Ford Dealership and see what he knows of this.

I don't doubt it since Microsoft contracted outside people to make the hardware. They just did the software. So it doesn't suprise me that there is another player out there that is a older version of the Zune.
