I would go with an ipod, simply because they have been redisigned so many times it is hard to find something wrong with it. also in terms of sound quality the ipod is very good. The only reason I can think of getting teh zen is it has a lot more audio options becuase it uses EAX (bass control, etc). just don't buy all the expensive ipod accesories, they are a waste of money and you are just paying for the name. Also do not get the ipod shuffle, it is crap, doesnt even have a screen.

Ipod they are good can't go wrong but I never tried a zen tried others but I say ipod.I like how they look compared to the zen.

get the new mini. I have one... i last recorded 24 hours of battery life WITH EQ and with backlight. i have the 4 gig and can't fill it. I suggest getting the 6gb to be safe.

If you take care of it, it will last forever. I have had mine for 5-6 months now and never had a problem with it. Battery life is awesome

I have a 40 gig ipod. it is my car cd changer. I have close to 7000 songs
all of the new car stereos are making interfaces to work with ipods so you can see the names and bypass the preamp of them on your radio

yeah the ipod is very good but that doesnt mean anything else isnt

the zen will be easier to sync with, the ipod can only use itunes

the zen is cheaper

the zen probably has more features, the ipod really doesnt have very many
