Default Would running a amplifier off a computer PSU be beneficial ?

I have seen some people say that PSU's output D/C Current, and that Molex connectors are +12v. Therefor people are springing to the conclusion that powering a headphone amplifier off a 12v Molex connector is a great idea, compared to running it off your wall socket.

Sounds a bit, weird, if you ask me.

Any opinions ?

that can lead to a very noisy system. computer amd amp wired together. even if it is dc they should be electronically isolated from each other.

Ideally you want a linear regulated PSU....switching PSUs in the PC can be noisy as EricB said.

I see. Always sounded to good to be true, okay i have another one, sounds more logical.
