i am gettin choppy sound while playing a dvd in windvd 7, it has only just started happening...

yeah. You should try the options. Maybe your version have some effects like: "forest", or "small room" or anything, so try the options or get the new version. Also do the trouble shooting.

You should try other dvd players such as Cool DVD player. It's a good idea to try all kinds of players and find out which one works best for you.
