| My goal is to be able able to look at whats on my computer and transfer it to my big screen television. Also I would like to be able to caputure or save files like a vcr to my computer hard drive so I can watch later, so i dont miss any hockey games. Is this possible? I think I can do this with a video card but Im not sure. Can anyone point me in the right direction. If I do need a video card, can anyone tell me the best products at the best prices? Thanks a lot, Jason |

| Ultra Techie | Depending on the input on the TV, theres a few choices. You can treat your TV as a second monitor using S-Video (many new VCs have it). As far as saving to HDD, you may be best off with a TV tuner card. But someone may be better off fielding that one... I have little experience with using a computer as a TV.

| Yeah, just get a Video Card with an S-Video jack and cable ($10 if not included) and then a TV Tuner Card ($50 easy). Or if you want to pay a little more, you can get an All-In-One Card, such as the Radeon All-In-Wonder 9600/9800. These come with the card, S-Video, and TV Tuner all in one card, as well as a suite of software that stream TV Listings.
