Default Still can't play Amazon Sound clips

A couple of weeks back I posted a thread about not being able to listen to the sound clips on Amazon. Some of you guys reccomended I rolled back my version of WMP back to version 10. I've done that and I'm still having problems. When I click on a song the Mozilla download box comes up and it says it's downloading 'hurl.exe' but the actual download doesn't move. Is the problem that WMP isn't really the best media player to play the files? I think(although I can't really remember) Real Player used to play them on my old computer. I won't install Real Player on this one because by all accounts it's infested with spyware.

Is anyone else having the same problem, or does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I used to like listening to the clips hehe.

You shouldn't be downloading an exe file.... I know that the name of the files are always hurl (they probably stand for something).

Go to amazon and right click on a sound clip and click properties. Copy the address (URL) using ctrl+C. Open WMP and goto File>Open URL>paste (ctrl+v) the url into the box and push open. The file should start playing after a few seconds, if not... then I'm not quite sure.

If it does play, then its a settings issue. You'll have to play around with all of your settings (mostly file associations) and update your codecs. I had your problem once and I never solved it until I upgraded HD and updated OS to XP.
