| It seems that the speakers on my second pc are not working just yesterday they were working and now they definatly are not the speakers are on they ar plugged in a report shows that my onboard sound has no problems the volume is turned up wat could be happening?

| by the way im having these problems on my second computer not the 1 in my sig and also they are plugged into the onboard audio

| its bin working for ages and its not on mute so the rifght drivers r installed and the speakers emit this kinda fuzzy noise but its very soft

| I agree with Greg and talldude. Even with a little white noise coming though, a hardware failure is likely; busted speaker cable, for bets. Drat those tiny little hair-thin multi-strand cables; they fracture like 50 year old telephone wires! Sound in headphones, but not from known good speakers? Maybe bad speaker jack. no sound (except the white noise) from either? Maybe corrupted driver file The whole business could be as simple as Crysalis suggested; an unregarded, minor, well-buried settings option that got checked for "do not make sound". | thanks u guys i shoulda cheked that earlier but its my mums computer and she doesnt need the sound by the way it was the speakers i put in some earfones and it worked perfectlky thnks for helping everyone!
