Soundblaster Live! 5.1 vs. P5W DH Deluxe

I have this old PCI Creative Soundblaster Live! 5.1 and I am wondering how it would compare to the onboard sound of the Asus P5W DH Deluxe which I ordered.

I think i have the same Creative sound card... is it any good? im not into sound cards much...

Me neither. All I know is that the SB Live is 10x times better than my current onboard (MSI KT266 Pro2). I changed some PCI cards around recently, and I am unable to re-install the Creative drivers without getting a blue screen, Now I have been using onboard for some weeks and it is terrible.

But the P5W DH Deluxe should have much better onboard, so I am wondering which is better.

the soundcard 5.1 will have better signal to noise ratio and it doesn't use cpu cycle to make sound
