Default sound problem with sub

i have a Creative Labs extreme music 7.1 sound card. and for speakers i have Sicuro RW-670XL speakers. everything works fine until i turn my sub on. when i turn it on it makes weird sounds, it bends sounds, and makes them all weird, and spooky sounding, its a unexplainable sound, but only for about 10sec, then it goes to normal for about 2min, and repeats its self. any ideas why it does this?

How far away is your sub from your PC? Subs aren't usually magnetically shielded, so they should be as far away from the PC as possible.
