Default Sound problem.

I know for a fact my headphones arent busted. I made sure my volume was all balanced out, but I am getting loud sound in my left ear than my right ear. I think maybe the jack or whatever got damaged somehow. How can I fix it? Or is there something I can do? I hate uneven sound.

turn the left speaker/headphone output down to match the right output, and then turn the overall volume up.

It didn't work. It just got lower sounding. Would getting an external USB sound card be a good idea?

Still have the audio problem on my pc. Would a new sound card fix it? If it's damaged and I just get a sound card instead of the onboard sound would that fix mah audio problems?

Have you tried updating your drivers? That very well could fix your problem.

I did, but nothing has seemed to work. I could probably get a sound card, but I wanna know if that would fix the problem. I think the plug might be broken.

There is no way for us to sit here and tell you "Yes a sound card will fix it" Cause we dont know that for sure. We can guess that it would. But if it doesnt we would be blamed for saying it would then it doesnt. We dont want to do that.

All we can say is that it is a option. It could work. But it is not 100% guaranteed that it will.

If you don't mind me asking, what makes you say you know for a fact your headphones aren't busted? I'm not trying to question you, I am just curious.
