Default sound editing

hi, i want to take a song a break it down into the basic sounds like guitar, bass, etc.. Is there any program out there that can do this? I appreciate any help.

no.....what you need is an "isolator"...they are fairly expensive peices of hardware for musicians which isolate certain frequency ranges....

well..
a few yrs ago i used cooledit.. you could select/save/delete/mod which ever parts of a sound or song you wanted, pretty much do whatever you want w/your music. however now i see they have sold out to adobe soo...

just check around and dl an old copy.
