Default Sony acid pro 6 question

hey if anyone here uses this program i have a small question.

How do i record an audio track without having all my previously recorded audio tracks be recorded onto it.

because right now i need to hear an old track while recording something onto a new track, but the program is recording both the old track and what I'm playing onto the new track.

sorry if this is confusing

this problem is rather common and actually has little to do with the program itself.

double-click your volume icon in the task bar -> options -> properties -> recording -> ok -> make sure "what u hear" is not selected. instead, select mic-in or line-in (which ever your input is connected to).

That should do it! let me know if that works for you.
