Default Recording your game

I play alot of HL2 DM and have been wanting to put together a video of my gameplay for awhile. Fraps is great, except for the fact it uses up 1 gig of HD space for every 1 minute of video. Then you have to convert that video to something much smaller, which takes even more time. Anyone know of something like Fraps but doesn't hog HD space?

Let me rephrase that. I meant ones that people have tried and like. I've tried several of the "Google" game recorders and they all have their issue's. I'm trying to record the 30-60minute tournaments in HL2 and with Fraps or anything else I'm playing at 10FPS which is not going to work, and 30-60minutes is about 100-140GB of hard drive space, which I don't even have total. Thanks though.
