Default Recording from tv to computer

Hello. I play games often a lot on my tv and it seems today that loads of people are recording there games from there 360, Ps3, Wii, etc and posting them onto youtube. I was just curious what parts do I need to do this. Ive heard I needed some wire to hook up to my computer to my tv, and a desktop recorder, I just dont know what to go for. Basically I would just like to know what program and wire I should buy so I can do just that, and also somthing that is very easy to use to edit my videos.

And also with this wire will I be able to play my pc games on my tv.

Thanks, I appreciate all the help.

I have an almost never used media center certified haupage that I"m selling for 40 bucks. I put it in my computer around the time that I got my hdtv dvr. I use to put tuner cards and media centers on all of my computers, but now my dvr has spoiled me. I took it out. I have 2 ati 550's home theater pro and a sony on my other 3 computers. I don't record on computer now unless it's something important that I want to burn to dvd

camtasia is the best recording pc software. you'll love it

Luke,

Do not post up your items for sale here. There is a forum for that.

Cheers,
Mak
