Re: Recommend some good computer speakers :] What is your price range? If you are an audiophile, your definition of "good" will be expensive, if you're not, you may think differently about good. Are you looking for powerful bass? Clear midrange/treble? Or are you just looking to get away from the cheap ones that came with your PC? Do you want 2, 2.1, 5.1, or 7.1 sound?
As for your sound card, Realtek is the basic integrated sound that is usually built into your motherboard. It's good enough for most things, but if you are using really good speakers or headphones, you can hear noise from them (hissing, weird noise from motor interference, etc).
My speakers: Creative Inspire T3100 ($50 when I got them)
They're pretty basic, it's a 2.1 system (two satellites and a subwoofer), but they sound pretty good and the tiny subwoofer puts out a pretty powerful sound for its size. They're good enough for my dorm room setup and are good for gaming.
