Firstly, sorry if this in the wrong section... I think it its right, but I've been wrong before.

I'm on a friends computer, he asked me to see if I fix this problem, and I just cannot figure it out... so I need your help.

The problem is that this comp just won't stream anything. The video always comes up as quicktime no matter if its youtube, google, etc, but then upon playing, does nothing. No error code, just a blank screen with nothing going on.

I've turned off all streaming options in quicktime, its not the default media, but nothing seems to make the videos play like they should. Even downloading the vid to realplayer, and then trying to play doesn't work. I even uninstalled qucktime- same result. So I am at a loss of what to do here... how do I keep quicktime from trying to play everything?

Got this one wrapped up- my friend did not have his media player set up right liek he said he did. Downloaded version 10, set it as default and problem fixed.
