Exclamation Question about Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Headph

I just bought a brand new pair of these cans from Amazon and I noticed that the left can (in which the whole noise canceling equipment is encased) makes some strange noises. I owned previous noise canceling headphones before so I know how they are supposed to sound and work. I get a very faint but noticeable squeal during mid to high notes and it is very annoying. Also if I put my finger close or over the left can't mic it will squeal extremely loud. I listened to them for about 8 hours now, I thought they would need to be burned in but the sound is still there. I have the option of returning these bad boys within seven days, but I am not sure if they are supposed to do this at first or if the left mic is just not functioning properly. Because time is of the essence here I would really appreciate all your help. Thanks.

PS: I just noticed that the squeal is present at higher volumes when there is human voice, in ambient music or sound the squeal is not present.

Burn in can take 600 hours..

Leave them playing for a entire day or something, but to me it sounds faulty. Unless, are you sure its not sibilance of the S sound. There can be a high pitched squeal that sounds like a ''TTTSSSS'' on any words beginning with T or S when sung.
