Default Problem With Audigy2 ZS and Logitech z-680's

Ok, just to start, I don't really know much about audio so bear with me. This is what I am working with:

Creative Audigy2 ZS Platinum http://www.soundblaster.com/products..._platinum_pro/

Logitech z-680 http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?pa...9&languageid=1

Connection: Digitial Coax from Audigy Drive to z-680 hardware decoder.

So, The problem is that while playing games with Digital Coax as the source I am missing some sound effects. For instance while playing one game I couldn't hear any gun shots, or ambient effects, however dialogue was working as it should. It seems as though I'm getting only quadraphonic sound or something, I'm not really sure what is going on. However when I switch the source to analog 6 channel direct it sounds fine. So it obviously isn't the game or the speakers, all I can think of is a soundcard setting somewhere. I already turned off the cards decoder since I have a hardware decoder.
Also DVD's play perfect with Digital Coax as the source. It is only games that I seem to have a problem with.
Any suggestions?
