Default PC VS DVD Player ...

Hi there ...

i have a question here as i am going to get a new DVD player (or maybe a DVD recorder) ... my question is which combination below will give better result and why?

1. PC + Radeon 9600 Pro/XT + TV + DVD-ROM + (Audigy 2 + a good 7.1 sound system such as Creative's?)
2. TV (Sony WEGA) + DVD Player

by the way, if not Radeon 9600, is there any other graphic card that will give better result? Thanks ...

Wow. Odd question. It is really two different ball parks. The sony wega is HDTV enabled so if you have that in your area it will probably the way to go. The PC options will probably be cheaper and depending on the sound system and the size and model of the TV you are using for it. If you had a hdtv card in your PC it may be as good or better depending on the TV or output you use. Benefit of the pc is you have a built in TIVO.
