On my Behringer monitors, there is a red LED that comes on as a clipping indicator for the Amplifier, it has never came on before, but just now i had them very loud on a bass intensive track, and it flickered occasionally, but only on my left speaker Surely the LED on both speakers should come up, if there both playing at the same volume and are both the same ??

Well, i guess if i turned it up even more other songs would make the LED's come on aswell. But the loudness i was listening to was close to painfull, i wouldn't want to go any further. It's a very bass heavy track though, which may be why the limiter light comes on that one and not other tracks - still, it didn't sound distorted at all to me, maybe because it was so loud. But anyway, that's besides the point - it just makes sense that it should come on on both speakers not just one.
not if the song wasn't produce correctly. one side might be clipping before the 0dbfs reference point of music

okay scrap that thought, read this dBFS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and confused myself alot. I'll just take your word on it for now untill im clever enough to understand.
