Nvidia Tv Out Problem

i have an nvidia gforce 3 card and i wanted to use the tv out option, i can see my computer boot up on the tv but when windows starts it goes blank, all i can get from nvidia is to update my card driver, but i have the latest drivers, i have latest drivers for everything on my computer, does the resolution and refresh rate settings have anything to do with the tv out? anyone know what i can try?
