| need deleted photo recovery help I accidentally deleted a photo from my sd card last night and have been having trouble recovering it. I deleted it with the camera (a kodak) rather than on a computer or card reader. I have tried a number of photo/file recovery programs which have recovered numerous photos which I intentionally deleted up to a couple of years ago, but can't seem to get the one deleted just last night. Does it sound like this shot is gone for good or is it possible a better program would be able to recover it. The programs I tried included one called cardrecovery and one called file recover I think. Let me know if anyone has suggestions. |

| Re: need deleted photo recovery help I tried almost all of the programs on the list and most came up with the same 218 files which do not include the photo deleted last night. Media-Undelete came up with 260 files but did not actually output them when it said it was outputting. Anyway, I am feeling skeptical that going to a phone book company will do me any good besides costing me money. Is it likely that it's gone for good or is it usually the case that files can be recovered with enough diligence? |

you need to pay if you want it enough. some church people want me to uncover some files for them. I'd recovered a little too many files. they had woman with pricks screwing each other on their computer

| Re: need deleted photo recovery help that's a cute story, but doesn't answer the main point of my question. Is it likely that the file is gone for good, or is it salvagable in most cases?
I'm happy to pay for software if I'm certain it's going to work, but all the software that shows a preview of what it will recover does not have the missing photo in the preview.
Side question. A Program Called Digital Picture Recovery comes up with more images than the others. The additional images are in the .TIF format and cannot be previewed. My camera is a Kodak EasyShare and I did not think it would save files as .tif

| Re: need deleted photo recovery help whoops. didn't mean to step on any toes. There was an implied answer in your response, and it actually was the answer that I want to hear (that the picture can be salvaged and I shouldn't give up on it). I'm not against paying but would prefer to know that it's going to work. And I'd also prefer to do it myself because, while the picture I'm trying to recover is innocent, and I am pretty sure I don't have any becocked nuns hiding in my SD card, the idea of a stranger having access to every picture I've ever taken on my memory card is a little embarrassing.
So if Eric or anyone else has any software to recommend for my situation, I'd greatly appreciate it. Here are some specifics I haven't mentioned yet:
Camera was Kodak EasyShare DX7440
-Memory Card was SanDisk 256MG
-The photo was deleted midshoot, and about 20 more pictures where taken after the photo was deleted before I attempted any recovery
-the camera and the card are both about a year and a half old |

| Re: need deleted photo recovery help Plug the card into the relevant adapter, and plug the adapter into your computers USB port, then run (free) PhotoRec on it, one pass.
Let me know how you get on.
And make sure the card is read-only |
