Default Mini disc to PC file

Hello all,

I'm having trouble converting minidisc audio to a file that can be read and edited on PC. I can put the minidisc audio onto PC via USB. The Minidisc files are HMA files. I need these to be converted to a useable file type on PC. And as I'm greedy could someone also point me in the direction of a simple (and free) adio editing program that will allow me to cut and arrange audio.

Thanks

James

Audacity. capture it then export to wav or mp3 (you have to manually add the mp3 encorder dll, though)
