Phrantic is on a distinguished road

Default Microphone amplifiers

Does anyone know a program to boost the microphone volume real-time?

With my ADI1988 onboard chip I had no problems. When I installed an X-fi XtremeAudio it suddenly became very soft. Then I installed a Club3D Theatron DD and it was slightly better, but still very soft. Turned mic boost on, upped every possible slider for my microphone volume, using the Windows tools and using the drivers and software.

Ran a driver cleaner program to remove some old stuff. My microphone input is still very soft. You can hear me when I'm right next to my mic and talking straight into it. But it used to be much better. I just think the card sends off a bit of a weak signal. I don't want to mod it, so I'm looking for a software solution.

Suggestions very much appreciated!
