| Mic and EMU help Anyone know how i could plug a normal desktop microphone (using 3.5mm connection) into my EMU-0404 ?
My PC does have a microphone input but i am not sure whether it works while my soundcard is on, and i don't want to buy some crappy pc headset when i have £200 monitors infront of me. |

| Re: Mic and EMU help I'm only using it for voice comms over CSS, ive herd many people talk through CSS and i can hear them fine - it's not recording quality, obviously, but it's adequate. |

| Re: Mic and EMU help usb mics are powered through the usb bus from what i know, but ive never used one.
Ive only ever used condenser/dynamic mics which connect via XLR.

| Re: Mic and EMU help you can have any microphone connected through any input, with any other sound card for playback. Just select which device to use in control panel.

| Re: Mic and EMU help My USB mic is separate from the sound card entirely, so it's selected directly in that audio selection screen, same for in Ventrilo. |
