Default Make an AVI Smaller

How can I make an AVI file smaller (as in megabytes etc)? I need to make a 699mb file smaller so I can make a VCD from it. Any suggestions? There isn't much footage I could trim off except the credits really. Anyone know of a free program that I can use to trim video?

Start > Programs > Nero > Photos and Video > NeroVision

I think DVDShrink (free) would work too, but I'm not too sure. I've only used it a couple times.

1. There is no folder called "Photos and Video" in the Nero folder!
2. Where do I get DVDShrink?

Try Camtasia Studio
Download Camtasia Studio Trial

Just import your file, then re-produce it as an AVI then choose how you want in encoded, resolution, bitrate, ect...
