B&W make some of speaker ever in any price range. their 801 are legendary. don't let somebody's opinion sway you into something when you took the right step to audition them.
you went and audition them. them you made a decision
you choose right

| Re: Just bought B&W CM1's!!!!!!!!!!! No you made it clear you were just messin with me. No worries. Ricanflow kinda did that though in the "post pics of your setup" thread. I'm learning that with audiophiles, everybody has their own opinions of things and no matter how good a speaker is, somebody will always have one that they think is better. It's all a matter of taste.
Don't worry Eric, nobody is going to make me feel like I made a bad decision, I sit here and listen to them while I type all of this and they constantly remind me of how much I like them. I'm more than happy with them. |

I could never afford them. you couldn't get any of them for a grand back then. now you can (today, a grand is like 200 of yesterdays money), but now I can't afford to spend that much on some speakers.
I'm an older dad now, we have a bad economy now, so I have to save my money.

| Re: Just bought B&W CM1's!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding eric.
And yeh, we do have a bad economy now. USA and UK have both been hit by recession but unfortunately for the UK 90percent of it's economy lies in Financial services, I think it's about 40percent in america. It's hit us real hard over here, can't do anyting
Ohwell - aslong as the good speaker companies don't go bust.. |

| Re: Just bought B&W CM1's!!!!!!!!!!! Ya the economy does suck. I live in SF and don't have a car because I am a student and when I went into the audio store, the guy who sold the speakers to me gave me a ride home with my speakers in the middle of the day. He said he was just glad to get out of there because they hardly get any customers now. It was pretty cool actually. He was a really nice guy and we just talked about speakers the whole ride. I don't know how I would've got home with those otherwise haha. |

I just said that if i could blow 1K on speakers, id get the sp8's cause theyve been on my wish list ever since my friend got them for his studio. I had to settle for $400 TR6's though, theyre still pretty good for the money.
The only speakers i really bash are pc speakers. And i recommend them sometimes too cause you cant have high end speakers for every application.
