Talking Just bought B&W CM1's!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god these speakers are incredible!!!! I have them hooked up to my computer through my receiver (which needs to be upgraded now haha) and I don't think I'm ever going to stop listening to music!

These puppies cost me 1 grand but wow was it worth it! They can reproduce really challenging dynamics with ease. The low end is very surprising for the size of these bookshelfs. They go down to 45hz and all the way up to 50khz and every bit of it sounds so rich and full. These things are absolutely incredible! I can't say it enough. I strongly recommend to anybody who is looking to purchase some speakers in this price range. I listened to several different models and brands and nothing came close to these.

I'm in love!!

Well it took alot of saving up to afford these. I've saved money from last christmas and am selling old stuff and some of my artwork for these. I've become addicted now though. I can't wait until I can get a sub and a new receiver to go along with these. That will take me awhile though.

Oh do you know some good music I can use to really put these speakers through their paces and show off what they can do?

Never herd that particular model of B&W but every other model of B&W speakers i have herd (small, big, cheep and expensive) in the shops has just sounded so brilliant.

Have an awesome time listening to them my friend.

What other models did you listen too ? Ofcourse i cannot argue this because it is highly subjective, but in my opinion i have heard speakers that contended with B&W speakers. But thats just audio all over, people will disagree forever

as for a music reccomendation.

This may seem a little odd, but Lil John and Eastside Boyz have some songs with a really good beat and awesome bass to test your B&W's out. Yes it is rap and rnb, but the beat is very good and so is the bass (just ignore the lyrics)

The CM series is new. They only have the CM7 (floorstander) the CM1 (bookshelf) and the CM Centre. This series is manufactured entirely in England instead of being assembled in China.

Well I heard some Monitor Audio tower speakers, don't remember which model but I heard their $1000 price range ones and the model up and down in price range, I heard some PSB's which were alot cheaper and while good for the money, weren't nearly as good as these. I heard some B&W 700 series and 600 series (I almost bought the 685s until I heard these =D). Oh and I listened to some other brand, I can't remember the name of it but I think it started with a K, I could be wrong lol. I guess I didn't listen to a huge range of different brands but I didn't feel I needed to because these sounded so good to me.

I've pretty much been listening to something on these whether it be music or movies or games since I got them. I am extremely happy I finally have a really good pair of speakers

Such a quote cannot be ignored

Ive never herd them, but ive herd the Reference AE1 Mk3's (Heck there over £2k a pair) They sounded phenomenal, as you would expect at that price.

Nah, joking with you ferarri. I'll remain open mided about how good they are 'till i hear them, i'll try listen to some at the weekend. I have my hopes set high after listening to your praise.

Anyway, i still love my Behringer B2030A monitors, £200 and sound really good for the money too me. There not in the same lague as your B&W's - But these are just for my PC, and wow. Two speakers with 6 & 3/4 Inch drivers produces a surprisingly deep and awesome bass without sounding tubby - Especially good for there small Square foot interior volume.

Ya I'm sure there are plenty other speakers that I could have gotten instead of the B&W's but I wanted to hear the speakers before I bought them and I got to hear these and directly compare them to some lower and higher models and they really wowed me so I got them. They also fit in my size constraint and they also allow me to stay with the same brand when I decide to add a sub and a center and surround speakers. Or maybe, if I can save up enough money, I can get the CM7's and move these to the back, but that is a long way down the road lol
