IPOD shuffle problem

I installed what needed to be installed but as it was formatting it i quit it because it was takin way to long, now when i turn the ipod on, the light stays on and it wont play anything. i can put songs on but just cant use it.. any ideas on what i should do??

Have you tried wiping it completely and reformatting it?
