Does anyone know how to edit the properties of an mp3 file without using the windows media player? I right clicked on the file and clicked on the properties and it had all of the information such as the artist, album, genre, etc. but it would not let me change any of it. Does anyone know how to?

The only way to change things for an mp3 file would be first seeing it converted into another format. But the thing to know is that WMP doesn't add information to the mp3 file itself but simply downloads additional information in jpeg format seeing extra files added into the folder along with the mp3 file itself.

Uncheck the options for downloading information in WMP to stop seeing album art and other things there.
