Default Help me chose a digital video cam

Hello all!

I'd like to get a digital video cam, and as it always happens, my budget is kind of limited. Do you happen to know a "best buy"?
I have not much experience with these objects .

Not more than 600 -- 650 usd/eur. Arround 500 would be great

Till now, taking into consideration what I could find in my city, I have the following list:

Sony CCD-TRV 145 (Digital 8)
Sony CCD-TRV 218 (Hi 8)
SonyDCR-TRV140 Digital-8
SonyDCR-TRV240
Panasonic NVVZ15
Mini DV Medion 9035 (Samsung VP-D73)

If you know some good or bad things about any of them, please share them. Or If you can recommend one of these or another cam that is better and at about the same price.

I've only ever had experience with a Sony hi-8 cam before.. can't remember the model # though. All I know is it worked flawlessly - great picture and sound quality, easy to capture using Firewire, etc. I would definately reccommend a Sony cam based on my experiences.

I would recommend either a Sony or Canon brand name camera. Canon has some of the best optics I have seen.
