I'm interested in buying a hard-drive recorder for my tv though i'm not sure which ones to get. I have a TV with a built in digital tuner so i don't want a harddrive recorder with one and also i have a whole bunch of laptops around that i want to be able to copy to without burning them out.
So i'm wondering if theres some kind of recorder that records off a TV's own tuner, and has some kind of networking capability even if its just wired LAN (btw i have a wireless network).
I'm in Australia so it would be helpful it it can be bought down here. Also i have satellite television from another nation and i'm wondering how i could record that, it comes with this machine i put a decoding card into and i have a small dish outside. Its wired to my VCR which then goes to my TV so it uses 1 set of ports.
