Why would I want to do any more? I just asked for a plain DVD player.

All it has to do is play and pause dvds.

All the crap where I have to add extra programs, spy ware, sign up for stuff or what ever.

I don't want to install several things.

Codecs aren't spyware, they're required for the computer to play certain types of video.

Dude, a program that can play a DVD either IS a codec or USES a codec. Codecs are used to code and decode. COde DECode.

Codecs are most certainly NOT spyware...

I've had DVD programs that just install once and they play my DVDs thats all I need

I'm not talking about the codecs for spy ware just some programs come with it and its crap.
