Default front panel mic/headphone HELP

I have a msi k9n sli platinum motherboard and i need to know how to hook up my frontside mic/headphone plugs to it.the board has like 9 pins and i only have 4 wires from the mic/headphone jacks a gnd,r-out,l-out,and mic-in. there is a way to make mic/headphone plugs work,rite?

well they are normally colour coded so the ones with colours will be the ones to use. Check the motherboard manually it should say what goes where.

exactly. there are no universal standard for front panel audio. it usually involve removing jumpers and placing the wires
