Default DVD problem, please help!

Hi everyone, I have a dvd, which has no menu's, and only has 1 title and 1 chapter (the whole movie is in one chapter). The problem is when I want to skip to a part later on in the movie ( In WMP, I use the "seek" bar), it takes a lot of time to play it. When I press the place to skip to on the "seek" bar, it freezes then takes about 20 seconds and sometimes up to a minute, just to get to that part of the movie.

This has never happened to me before. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thank you, From Edward

but i have other dvd's just like this one and they play fine in WMP. I'm only using WMP for this, becuase it has the "seek" bar along the bottom. I need this because its only one chapter, so I can't skip. I usually use WINDVD, but this has no "seek" bar to make it easier.
