Re: Drm Use a different program to record. Media Center has DRM, so it isn't the greatest thing to record with. There are plenty of other programs capable of recording MPEG, DivX, or other types of non-DRM video from your TV card. Video editing software (Pinnacle, Sony Vegas) will do this, but those tend to be pretty expensive. Other programs like DScaler and VirtualDub are free, but I've had mixed results using them for recording, mainly frame dropping. What kind of TV tuner card do you have? Many of them are Hauppauge WinTV cards, in that case the WinTV program from Hauppauge's website will work. ATi cards (ATi TV Wonder) also have a program you can get from ATi that records non-DRM video. Your PC may have also come with video editing software, you can try using that if it came with any, just look for an input option that allows you to record from TV.
You may be able to salvage the DRM'ed Media Center format, try using Windows Movie Maker to convert it into something else (usually just non-DRM wmv). This worked on a MCE show I converted for my PDA, but maybe the DRM comes only on particular shows. You can then convert the wmv to a DVD or to any other format you need to convert to.
