Darn updates!

Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to prevent Real Player from requesting an update to a newer version. We're creating software for use in schools and the non-tech savvy teachers don't like the way the player wants to be updated when a newer version is released.
Anyone know of a patch or some sneaky trickery that will stop it happening?
