**** the MPAA and the RIAA. Sorry about my french, but i want to know where these companies get off telling someone how they can use an item that they PURCHASED. I just built a huge media server to house my entire dvd collection. Are they going to show up on my doorstep and tell me that i cant put a DVD that i PAYED FOR on my computer so that i can watch it without the physical disk? I'm so sick of these fatcats who run the music and movie industry doing nothing but try to screw us over when we legally own media.

they may not show up at your doorstep...but they have that option

it's a good thing I take care of my dvds, and don't throw them around...I can imagine many more people like my sis and her family...they fling them about like they're billionaires. I always cringe when I let them borrow a disc, even that might be illegal, lol.

it would be great if we would be fully allowed, to put all our movies onto a media server, sparing wear and tear on the discs...and not having to worry about it too much.
