You'll have to find a converter that converts from, I believe it's ACC that Apple uses? Or is it mp4? Anyway, that converts from one of those to mp3, wma, wav, etc. None come to mind right now, but you could just google "acc to mp3 converter" or somthign like that.

if the files are protected (like most songs purchased on itunes are), then you need to remove the protection first. (use google for that). then you can use itunes itself to convert to mp3. to convert using itunes just go to settings, ripping options, select mp3 as the format.
once this is done, go to your itunes library, select the music you want and select "convert to mp3" from the right-click menu.

if that seems too complicated, do what most people do: burn the songs to a cd and then use a ripper (the one from wmp or even itunes to conert to either mp3, wma or whatever you want.
if you want to try the last method, i suggest you use cd-rws.

I agree. You can also try tunebite.
