Default Connecting laptop to tv using S-Video to RCA Cable..will quality still be good?

Hi,
If I connect my laptop to my TV using a S-Video to RCA cable to watch a DVD, for example, will the quality still be good? Will it be the same as watching the DVD directly on the laptop? If not, how bad will the quality be???

thanx
