Default computer as hifi source

Plea for help from music-loving technophobe. I would like to play internet radio through my hifi. How do I link from the computer to the phono (aux) input of my amplifier & what do I need? I am looking to get a dedicated machine to do this via a wireless network (which I do understand!!) and as I'm starting from scratch any suggestions as to what gear would be most appropriate would be very much appreciated

to do that you would just simply need a stereo cable that is 1/8" plug on one end and on the other end, two rca plugs. Just hook the 1/8" plug into your soundcard and then the rca plugs into your auxiliary input on your amp/receiver.

Very simple, just make sure you set the computers volume about 40-50% and use the amp/receiver's volume for controlling volume.
